New art was unveiled in Downtown Gastonia on April 13. The art exhibit was created by high school students from Forestview, Gaston Day, Highland, Piedmont Charter and Webb Street schools. The five works will be displayed on the Merit Building’s outdoor art panels beside the Center City Park.
The unveiling included jazz music in the park and classical piano music by a student musician inside Butler Studio, 171 W. Main Ave. The event was co-sponsored by the City of Gastonia, the Gaston Outside campaign, Gastonia Art Downtown Committee, Sun Drop Bottling Co. and Guilty Pleasures Catering & Bakery.
