The City of Gastonia will hold an information session for candidates running for municipal office in the upcoming November election. The session will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 30 at Gastonia City Hall at 181 S. South St. It is designed to provide helpful information about the election process, the City of Gastonia’s council-manager form of government, City departments and political sign regulations.
Seats up for election in 2019 in Gastonia include those held by the mayor and city council representatives for wards 3, 4 and 6. Candidates can file to run for office July 5-19 at the Gaston County Board of Elections at 410 W. Franklin Blvd.
