Gastonia Renovates Community Centers

Although the coronavirus forced Gastonia’s community centers to close to the public starting in March, the facilities have not been quiet recently. The City is making the most of the downtime by renovating five Parks and Recreation facilities.

The work was planned before the COVID-19 pandemic. However, some renovations were put on the fast track. Replacing flooring and repainting walls is easier with no guests using the facilities and no activities being disrupted.

When the public returns, the community centers will have a bright, new look!
